Don’t miss the pewter exhibit at the Brandywine River Museum in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, May 23 through July 19, 2009.
The Pewter Collectors’ Club of America is celebrating their 75th anniversary and has put together an impressive collection of pewter on loan from its members. It will be a treat to view. Many pieces have never been on exhibit before. The opening of the exhibit will coincide with the opening of the Brandywine River Museum Show May 23-25 and continue through July 19th. Note the VERY SHORT two-month run of the exhibit. Don’t miss it. We will loan some pewter. The Brandywine River Museum is home to the Wyeth family paintings, another good reason to visit the museum.
Don is an Honorary Member and Past President of the Pewter Collectors’ Club of America, a 600 member group of pewter afficionados. Learn more about pewter, its care, makers and marks at www.pewtercollectorsclub.org. National meetings are held twice a year, usually in major museums and institutions. Regional meetings involve less travel. Don puts the PCCA meeting notices in trade papers such as the Maine Antique Digest and Antiques And The Arts weekly (Newtown Bee). |
